New FURNITURE!! Yay...

Our house is finally starting to feel like a "home". It's kind of surreal... it almost feels like its not our house because we actually have nice furniture for a change.
~
Here is our Living Room:
(added new curtains)

Our new entertainment center...

... and my very first sofa table.

Here is our Dining Room:

... our new counter height kitchen table for six!! It can seat eight... and it will one day. (I need to buy two more bar stools) But for now, it's just six.

And Isabella's bedroom:

She got a new twin size bed with REAL mattresses. Her old one was just a foam mattress and wooden frame... not very comfortable. She also got a new bedding set and matching curtains. Hannah Montana, of course!! :) Along with a night stand...
... 5-drawer chest, computer desk and desk chair.

And Makayla's bedroom:

Makayla also got a new twin size bed. She too had the uncomfortable foam kind. Along with new bedding and matching curtains... Can you guess who? If you guessed Ariel, The Little Mermaid. You are correct!! She also got a night stand...

... and 6-drawer dresser with mirror.
Yes, the girls even got new tvs!! With the money we got from selling their old bedroom furniture and big bulky tv's we bought them 19" LCD flat screen tvs and used the rest of the money towards the new furniture.

The new tvs were an upgrade as far as quality but a downgrade as far as size. However, there is one main reason for new tvs... safety!! With them not getting new armoires and only dressers... there is only one place for the tv's to go. On top of the new dressers. So instead of big bulky tvs, we got smaller light weight tvs. For this reason, and this reason, and this reason. You can read about some of the victims here.

I never, ever, ever in a million years would have ever thought my child could be killed by a piece of furniture. It's rare but not that rare... and its enough to scare me into taking the necessary procautions to keep my girls safe. So yes, the tvs are on top of the dressers BUT the tvs are lighter in weight, MUCH lighter AND the dressers will be tethered this weekend!!

Daniella's nursery...
We also got a twin size bed for Daniella's nursery. That way I have some where to sleep on the nights Shane has duty. So I can upstairs on the same floor as the girls in case of an emergency. Call me paranoid... but I'm just a worried, concerned mom.
