Yep, you read that right. For those of you who don't know... Shane is going to Washington, D.C. Back into familiar territory. In January 2005, when he was still stationed in Alexandria, Virginia with the U.S. Coast Guard Honor Guard, he was a part of history. Performing in the 55th Presidential Inauguration for George W. Bush.
Only 11 steps away from the President & Vice President on the steps of the Capital Building.
He has been invited back and will be taking place in the 56th Presidential Inauguration this year for Barack Obama. (Not our choice in president) But he is still very honored and is looking forward to seeing old shipmates... where his Coast Guard career all started. Well, minus bootcamp! I only wish the girls and I could go with him. We loved living there!!!
So, make sure to watch and keep an eye out for Shane. You might just see him on tv, again.
