Doctors Appointments

On January 16th, I took Isabella & Daniella to the doctor...

Isabella's 6 Year Old Well-Child:
Isabella is now, 44 3/4" tall and weighs a whole 45.8 lbs. Which makes her above average in about the 75 percentile for her age group. She passed her hearing and vision tests. Everything looks good... and she's very healthy. However, her Doctor thinks she might have a heart murmur. Although, she says it's probably nothing and that heart murmurs are quiet common in young children. If anything it's what she called an "innocent" heart murmur.

"An innocent murmur is just a noise caused by blood flowing through a normal heart. These noises are commonly heard in children because their hearts are very close to their chest walls. An innocent murmur can get louder or softer depending on your child's heart rate, such as when they're excited or scared. Doctors often hear heart murmurs when they check children who have a fever or cold. Many innocent murmurs become hard to hear as children grow older and most usually go away on their own."

So... she told me not to worry about it to much. But just as a precaution, she wants Isabella to be evaluated by a Cardiologist. So back to the Cardiologist we go. Same Doctor, different daughter...

Daniella's 2 Month Old Well-Baby:
Daniella is now weighs a whooping 10lbs, 1oz. and is 21" long. She also is above average at about the 78 percentile. Everything looks good, she's very alert and is actually "ahead of schedule" already, doing things that a 3 or even 4 month old can do. Like smiling, trying to laugh, grasping object, etc.

Unfortunately for her, she had to get her first set of immunizations. Three pokes... poor little girl was not happy at all!

She's now sleeping longer at night... yay! Getting up every 3-4 hours instead of every two hours. Which has been wonderful for Shane and I. She's also eating more. She's up to 4oz. now. I've even been adding some rice cereal and baby food to her diet. Which she loves and helps to keep her hunger satisfied.

I actually tried spoon feeding her the other day. Just to see how she would reacted and she actually did really well! She ate about 4 tablespoons of peaches. Which for her is alot. I had Isabella, my little photographer, take some pictures. So I will try to post those tomorrow.

Other then that everything is great... all three girls are healthy!!

*Makayla had her 4 Year Old Well-Child appointment in December. In case you were wondering why she didn't have an appointment when the other girls did. Makayla weighs 34lbs and is 33 inches tall. Unlike the other girls, she is right at the 50 percentile for kids her age. Looks like she might have inherited some of mommy's "short" genes. :)
